The United Way of
Harrisonburg & Rockingham County was born out
of the Chamber of Commerce and was originally known
as the United Fund of Harrisonburg & Rockingham
County.
Since 1957 the United Way of Harrisonburg & Rockingham
County has raised more than $20 million dollars to
invest in our community. This began in 1957 with the
first campaign raising $45,165 which funded eight
organizations. In 2005 $1,006,961 was raised which
supports 33 partner programs in 2006.
